Sondra Bowlin's Halloween Costume

Sondra Bowlin, Springdale, circa 1953. Sondra's mother made this yellow cat outfit for a school play at Washington Elementary School, and it made a purr-fect Halloween costume.

A Johnson and Steele Hatchery truck is in the background; Sondra's dad worked for the company. Joe M. Steele and L. E. Johnson were the owners of the hatchery, which sold poultry feed, supplies, equipment, and medicines, along with baby chicks. Courtesy Joe Roberts (S-92-190-33)
