"The Civil War in the Ozarks" Podcast Contest

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War, several Northwest Arkansas museums and historical organizations are sponsoring a podcast contest for K-12 students in Benton, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Newton, and Washington counties. The contest is sanctioned by the Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission.
This is a great opportunity for students to use modern technology to learn about local history, and maybe win prize money to boot! Plus, winning podcasts will be posted on the Commission's website.
Here are the details:
What: Create a short, non-fiction, audio podcast about the Civil War in the Arkansas Ozarks. Podcasts must be audio-only, no video or still images.
Who can enter: K-12 public, private, and home school students in Benton, Boone, Carroll, Madison, Newton, and Washington counties. Both individuals and groups may enter.
Category 1: Elementary School—Grades K-5
Category 2: Middle School—Grades 6-8
Category 3: High School—Grades 9-12
When: Contest entries may be submitted between October 15, 2011, and February 3, 2012. Winners will be announced during the Battle of Pea Ridge Sesquicentennial event at Pea Ridge National Military Park on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Prizes in each category: First prize, $100; second prize, $50.
CONTEST RULES
1. Podcasts must be 5 minutes or less and in MP3 format.
2. All entries must be submitted by mail. Record your podcast to a CD and mail it to: "The Civil War in the Ozarks" Podcast Contest, c/o Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, 118 W. Johnson Avenue, Springdale, AR 72764
3. Name your podcast file using this format: <student’s first name-student’s last name.mp3>. If you are submitting a group entry, choose one student as the team leader and use that student’s name as the podcast file name. If an entire school class is submitting an entry, use the teacher’s name as the podcast file name.
4. The podcast must be an original work. No copyrighted materials can be used.
5. An entry form for each student or group participating in the podcast must accompany each submission.
6. Contest entries may be submitted between October 15, 2011, and February 3, 2012. Winners will be announced during the Battle of Pea Ridge Sesquicentennial event at Pea Ridge National Military Park on Saturday, March 10, 2012. (Details of the award ceremony will be announced in February 2012.)
7. Entries will be judged on content, creativity, historical accuracy, technical aspects, and overall impression.
8. If the contest receives fewer than three entries in any category, the contest sponsors reserve the right not to judge or award that category.
9. Decisions of the judges are final.
10. Only one entry per person or group.
