Donated by Rick Collins

Springdale High School Class of 1969 Commemorative Football

Rick Collins was a senior on the Springdale High School Bulldog football team in 1968, the year the Bulldogs were the state AAA champions. In recognition of their leadership, each senior on the team was awarded a commemorative football hand-lettered by local legend Dock Hinson, Springdale's first-ever all state football player (chosen in 1915) and also the first player from Springdale to be offered a scholarship to play college football.

Along with football, he excelled in basketball and golf, was president of the senior class, served on the student council, attended Boy's State, and was chosen the 1969 Yearbook King.
